RESOLUTION NO. 2025-581
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
NOVEMBER 3, 2025, TO APPROVE A SITE PLAN
AMENDMENT REQUEST BY XCEL ELECTRIC, LLC FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 5,000 SQUARE FOOT
BUILDING IN THE "B-P" BUSINESS PARK DISTRICT
LOCATED SOUTH OF 3211 TITAN TRAIL AND INSTRUCT
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, Xcel Electric, LLC has submitted a site plan amendment request for the
construction of a 5,000 square foot building located in the "B-P" Business Park District, south of
3211 Titan Trail; and
WHEREAS, the proposed construction supports the City's economic development
initiatives and aligns with the goals of enhancing business infrastructure within the Business
Park District; and
WHEREAS, setting a public hearing facilitates transparency and provides an opportunity
for public comment and City Council review of the site plan amendment to ensure alignment
with zoning and planning regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk is required to publish notice of the public hearing to ensure
that the residents and stakeholders within the community are informed and able to participate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The date for the public hearing on the site plan amendment request by Xcel Electric,
LLC is hereby set for November 3, 2025.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
