THE PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC
HEARING IS TO CONSIDER ADOP-
TION OF THE BALTIMORE FIELDS
URBAN RENEWAL PLAN.
The area
within the Baltimore Fields
Urban Renewal Plan (the `Phan")
M an economic development ama sithin themeaning of Iowa Code §
403.17(10).Such area Is appropriate
for the provision o1 public improve-
ments related to housing and residen-
tial development and Is eligible for an
urban renewal project and otherwise
meets all requisites under the pro-
s of Iowa Code Chapter 403.
The general scope of urban renewal
activities In the area involves provid-
ing oportunities, Incentives, and sites
for newresidential development, to
promote new housing and residential
development, and promote the gener-
al economic development of the City
through special financing activities
outlined In the Plan. These activities
ore deemed necessary in the interest
f the public health, safety or welfare
of the residents of the City of Water-
loo.
The Plan proposes to designate the
following area as the urban renewal
area for purposes of the Plan:
Lot Na. 5, except he East 156 feet
hereof and except those parts deed-
ed to the City of Waterloo. Iowa in
T.L.D. Book 151 Page 552 and T.L.U.
Book 272 at page 391, In Auditor
Francis' Relttel Plat: and the Northerly
Half of that part of Byron Avenue In
the City of Waterloo, lawn, lying East
of a Northerly extension of the West
line of Lot Na, 1 In Colo C. Miller Ad-
dition, and West of a line that Is 159
feet Weal or the West line of Baltimore
Street, all In the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, State of Iowa,
excluding thereof the area platted as
Hawthorne Estates First Addition.
And
Orlo C. Miller Addition, all of Lot 1 ex-
cept the West 30 feet, Lot 2, and all
that pan of the Southerly one-half o1
Byron Avenue In the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, Tying East of a Northerly exten-
sion of the West line of Let No, 1 In
Oslo C. Miller Addition, and West of a
line that is 156 feet West of the West
line of Baltimore Street. Also, an that

be directed to the Planning and Zoning
Office at 319-291-4366. Anyone who is
interested may appear at same time and
place and be heard or may file written ob-
jections or comments with the City Clerk,

hearing.
