RESOLUTION NO. 2012-893
RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZING THE
WATERLOO HOUSING TRUST FUND.
WHEREAS, there are various unmet housing needs for low and
moderate income residents of Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to more effectively manage the
housing concerns and needs on a city wide basis; and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Housing Trust Fund, an Iowa non-
profit incorporation, was incorporated for the above purposes;
and
WHEREAS, the Iowa Finance Authority distributes funds from
the State Housing Trust Fund to various certified local housing
trust funds throughout the state on an annual basis; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo supports the certification
and work of the Waterloo Housing Trust Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Waterloo Housing Trust Fund is
officially recognized and all of its activities to provide
affordable housing in the City of Waterloo officially supported.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of September, 2012.
