RESOLUTION NO. 2025-642
RESOLUTION APPROVING A THREE-YEAR MARKETING
AND SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH PANTHER
SPORTS PROPERTIES/LEARFIELD COMMUNICATIONS OF
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,700.00
IN YEAR ONE; $16,485.00 IN YEAR TWO; $17,309.00 IN
YEAR THREE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo seeks to promote community engagement, tourism,
and economic development through strategic marketing and sponsorship opportunities; and
WHEREAS, Panther Sports Properties/Learfield Communications of Kansas City,
Missouri has proposed a three-year marketing and sponsorship package that includes advertising
inventory, in-venue/venue-appropriate placements, digital/streaming/radio assets, and related
promotional opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for annual payments by the city in the amounts of
$15,700.00 in Year One; 16,485.00 in Year Two; and $17,309.00 in Year Three, for a total three-
year amount of $49,494.00; and
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the proposed Agreement, finds the terms acceptable
and consistent with City objectives, and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The three-year Marketing and Sponsorship Agreement with Panther Sports
Properties/Learfield Communications of Kansas City, Missouri is hereby approved in the annual
amounts of $15,700.00 (Year One), $16,485.00 (Year Two), and $17,309.00 (Year Three), for a
total not -to -exceed amount of $49,494.00 over the term.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of November 2025.
