RESOLUTION NO. 2025-644
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY, OF DES MOINES,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,109.47, FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF A TRANSFORMER IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo is undertaking the La Porte Road Improvements
project to enhance transportation infrastructure and public safety and to support adjacent utilities;
and
WHEREAS, MidAmerican Energy Company has provided a proposal to furnish and
install a transformer and perform associated work necessary to serve new and/or relocated
electrical facilities required by the La Porte Road Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the cost for the Work is $10,109.47; and
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the proposal and recommends approval in order to
coordinate utility modifications with the project schedule and avoid construction delays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The agreement with MidAmerican Energy Company for the transformer installation
and related Work associated with the La Porte Road Improvements, in the amount of $10,109.47,
is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
