RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT WITH EIC ENTERPRISES FOR THE
RELOCATION OF THE HOME AT 3280 NEWELL STREET TO
A PROPERTY AT THE CORNER OF CAMPBELL AVENUE
AND LAWNHILL AVENUE, INCLUDING AN INFILL
HOUSING GRANT OF $10,000.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa seeks to promote neighborhood stabilization,
reduce vacant lots, and support housing infill consistent with adopted City plans and policies;
and
WHEREAS EIC Enterprises proposes to relocate an existing single-family residence
currently located at 3280 Newell Street to a City-approved lot at the corner of Campbell Avenue
and Lawnhill Avenue, legally described as.
PARCEL NO. 891221126002, LOCALLY KNOWN AS 3280 NEWELL STREET,
WATERLOO, IOWA, IS LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS THE WEST HALF OF THE
NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 21, TOWNSHIP 89 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST OF
THE 5TH P.M., BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, LYING NORTHWESTERLY OF THE

terms and conditions of the Agreement; and;
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the proposed Project and Agreement and
recommends approval in furtherance of the City's infill housing and neighborhood reinvestment
objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves the Development Agreement with EIC Enterprises
as outlined.
2. The Infill Housing Grant of $10,000.00 is hereby approved to aid in development
efforts.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
