RESOLUTION NO. 2025-664
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
DECEMBER 1, 2025, FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL
PAPER COMPANY, FOR THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF
APPROXIMATELY 6.29 ACRES OF CITY -OWNED
PROPERTY, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS , the City of Waterloo and International Paper Company propose to amend
an existing Development Agreement, originally executed January 6, 2025, to provide for the sale
and conveyance of approximately 6.29 acres of City -owned real property, more particularly
described as Parcel K; and
WHEREAS, prior to approval of the amendment and the sale and conveyance of City
property, the City Council must hold a public hearing and provide notice in accordance with
applicable law and the Waterloo City Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to set the date, time, and place for said public
hearing and to direct publication of notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. A public hearing on the proposed Amendment to the Development Agreement to
provide for the sale and conveyance of approximately 6.29 acres of City -owned real property, is
hereby set for December 1, 2025.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
