RESOLUTION NO. 2025-672 RESOLUTION APPROVING A PERMANENT EASEMENT AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,351.00, WITH T AND S PROPERTIES MANAGEMENT II, LLC, LOCATED AT 1409 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS the City of Waterloo is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project to improve infrastructure and enhance transportation efficiency; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire a permanent easement at the property located at 1409 La Porte Road, owned by T & S Properties Management, LLC, to facilitate this project; and WHEREAS, negotiations have resulted in an agreed compensation of $7,351.00 for the grant of said easement; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Waterloo to approve the easement agreement to ensure the successful completion of the reconstruction project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The Permanent Easement Agreement with T & S Properties Management, LLC, in the amount of $7,351.00 is hereby approved. 2. The easement agreement is necessary for the successful execution and completion of the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project, ensuring public benefit and infrastructure improvement. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of November 2025.
