PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF INTENT TO LEASE
AIRPORT PROPERTY
Notice is hereby given that the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, acting by and through
the Waterloo Regional Airport, Intends
to lease approximately 759 acres of
airport property to Grand Husk Solar.
LLC for the purpose of developing and
operating a solar energy generation
facility.
The proposed lease is for agricultural
and renewable energy development
use and will include phased terms al-
lowing for site evaluation, design. con-
struction: and operation of the solar
farm. The lease area is generally lo-
cated on airport -owned property north
and west of the main airfield.
This notice is published in accordance
with Iowa Code Section 364.7, which
requires public notice prior to the lease
of city -owned real property. A public
hearing on the proposed lease w1II be
held by the Waterloo City Council at
City Hall, 715 Mulberry Street, Water-
loo, Iowa, on December 1st, 2025, at
5:30 p.m., at which time all interested
persons may appear and be heard re-
garding the proposed lease.
Following the public hearing, the City
Council may take action to approve or
deny authorization of the lease agree-
ment.
Additional information regarding the
proposed lease may be obtained from
the Waterloo Regional Airport Admin-
istration Office, 2790 Livingston Lane,
Waterloo, Iowa 50703, during regular
business hours.
