RESOLUTION NO. 2013-220
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF CEDAR VALLEY
PRIDEFEST INCORPORATED FOR A VARIANCE TO
ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Cedar Valley Pridefest Incorporated is requesting a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 24, 2013, from 10:00
a.m. to 12:00 midnight, in conjunction with the Cedar Valle
Pridefest 2013 event to be held along the 300 block of West 4t
Street, to include a DJ and the use of a PA system, with
recommendation and approval of Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Cedar Valley Pridefest Incorporated has made
formal application for a variance effective August 24, 2013, from
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Cedar Valley Pridefest
Incorporated for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance, on August 24, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight,
in conjunction with the Cedar Valley Pridefest 2013 event to be
held along the 300 block of West 4th Street, to include a DJ and
the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1St day of April, 2013.
