BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS a request has been submitted Luke and Megan Finley to rezone approximately 1.18 acres from"A-1"Agricultural District to "R-1" One and Two Family Residence District located east of 930 East Orange Road, and legally described as follows: THE SOUTH 200 FEET OF THE NORTH 436 FEET OF THE EAST 335 FEET OF THE NORTHEAST '/4 OF THE NORTHEAST '/4 OF SECTION 22, T88N, R13W, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. WHEREAS, the amendment is requested to rezone approximately 1.18 acres in order to build a new single-family home. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission, after a public hearing, has approved the request and recommended the City Council to amend the Official Zoning Map accordingly, and WHEREAS, this amendment is deemed to be in accordance with the City's comprehensive plan as it serves to accommodate planned residential growth and ensure the efficient use of land and resources. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: 1. Ordinance No. 5079, as amended, is hereby further amended by changing the zoning classification of the property located east of 930 East Orange Road, from "A-1"Agricultural District to "R-1" One and Two Family Residence District. 2. The Official Zoning Map referred to in Section 10-4-4 of the Waterloo City Code is hereby amended in accordance with the change in zoning classification set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance. 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its final passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
