RESOLUTION NO. 2025-703 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING AN ACQUISITION CONTRACT AND APPROVING A DEED TO CONVEY REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO, FOR A PARTIAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION DCONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,308.00; A PERMANENT EASEMENT AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,799.00, AND A TEMPORARY EASEMENT AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $786.00, FOR A TOTAL COMPENSATION AMOUNT OF $7,893.00, WITH METRO INVESTMENTS WATERLOO, LLC, FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1326 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is progressing with the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project, requiring specific land acquisitions; and WHEREAS, an Acquisition Contract and Deed with Metro Investments Waterloo, LLC, for property located at 1326 La Porte Road, have been negotiated for the following components: Partial Right -of -Way Acquisition: $1,308.00 Permanent Easement Agreement: $5,799.00 Temporary Easement Agreement: $786.00 Total Compensation Amount: $7,893.00 WHEREAS, these acquisitions are essential to proceed with the planned infrastructure improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1.The Acquisition Contract and Deed with Metro Investments Waterloo, LLC, encompassing compensation as described above, are hereby approved. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1' day of December 2025.
