RESOLUTION NO. 2025-683 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST BY CORREUNTA FORD, FOR TAX EXEMPTIONS ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SINGLE-FAMILY HOME VALUED AT $285,000.00, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 114 AXLEWOOD DRIVE AND LOCATED IN THE CONSOLIDATED URBAN REVITALIZATION AREA (CURA). WHEREAS, Correunta Ford has requested tax exemptions for the construction of a new single-family home valued at two hundred eighty-five thousand dollars ($285,000.00) at 114 Axlewood Drive; and WHEREAS, the property is located within the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Area (CURA), making it eligible for such tax exemptions under the applicable statutes and ordinances; and WHEREAS, the new construction of this home meets the eligibility criteria as outlined in the CURA plan, which aims to foster residential development and investment in the urban core; and WHEREAS, the construction of this home contributes to the revitalization efforts of the area by increasing housing availability and value. WHEREAS, said applicant is requesting the following three-year exemption schedule: For the first year 100% For the second year 100% For the third year 100% NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The request for tax exemptions by Correunta Ford for the new single-family home at 114 Axlewood Drive is hereby approved. 2. The property owner, Correunta Ford, shall be eligible for specified tax exemptions subject to compliance with the terms and duration set forth in the CURA.
