RESOLUTION NO. 2025-698
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE
IOWA CLEAN AIR ATTAINMENT PROGRAM FUNDING
GRANT WITH THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $700,000.00 IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
ROUNDABOUT AT HAMMOND AVENUE AND RIDGEWAY
AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo plans to construct a roundabout at Hammond Avenue
and Ridgeway Avenue to improve traffic flow and reduce emissions; and
WHEREAS, the Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program has awarded a funding grant in the
amount of $700,000.00 to assist with this project; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's interest to accept this grant to enhance local infrastructure
and support environmental goals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The agreement for the Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program funding grant with the
Iowa Department of Transportation, in the amount of $700,000.00, is hereby approved.
2. Grant funds will be applied specifically towards the construction of the roundabout at
Hammond Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
