RESOLUTION NO. 2025-723
RESOLUTION APPROVING WAGES AND INSURANCE FOR
YEARS FOUR AND FIVE OF THE 2023-2028 COLLECTIVE
BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH WATERLOO POLICE
PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION AND INTERNATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL NO. 66 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND HUMAN RESOURCES
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has entered into a Collective Bargaining
Agreement (CBA) with the Waterloo Police Protective Association and the International
Association of Firefighters Local No. 66 for the period 2023-2028; and
WHEREAS, the terms for wages and insurance for years four and five of the CBA have
been negotiated and require formal approval; and
WHEREAS, these terms are consistent with the City's objectives for fair employee
compensation and benefits and have been deemed fiscally responsible and equitable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The proposed terms for wages and insurance for years four and five of the 2023-2028
Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Waterloo Police Protective Association and
International Association of Firefighters Local No. 66 are hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and Human Resource Director are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December 2025.
