RESOLUTION NO. 2025-725 RESOLUTION APPROVING DEDICATION OF A PERMANENT INGRESS/EGRESS ACCESS EASEMENT BY THE CITY OF WATERLOO, ON CITY PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN 700 AND 714 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT. WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project to improve infrastructure and traffic flow; and WHEREAS, the dedication of a permanent ingress/egress access easement on City - owned property located between 700 and 714 La Porte Road is necessary to facilitate access to the 714 La Porte Road (Pizza Hut) and Cadillac Bowling Lanes; and WHEREAS, the easement dedication will provide essential access and support the project's objectives in enhancing transportation within the area, in compliance with city guidelines. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The dedication of a permanent ingress/egress access easement on City property between 700 and 714 La Porte Road is hereby approved. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute all necessary documents to effectuate the easement dedication. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December 2025.
