RESOLUTION NO. 2025-730
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING AN
ACQUISITION CONTRACT AND APPROVING A DEED TO
CONVEY REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO
FOR A PARTIAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $624.00; A PERMANENT EASEMENT
AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,288.00, FOR A
TOTAL COMPENSATION AMOUNT OF $11,912.00, WITH
CRV, INC., FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1607 AND
1621 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA
PORTE ROAD PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is engaged in the La Porte Road Phase II
Reconstruction Project to improve local infrastructure and traffic management; and
WHEREAS, the project requires a partial right-of-way and a permanent easement on
properties located at 1607 and 1621 La Porte Road, owned by CRV, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the following agreements have been negotiated for approval:
• Acquisition Contract and Deed for partial right-of-way in the amount of Six Hundred
Twenty -Four Dollars ($624.00).
• Permanent Easement Agreement in the amount of Eleven Thousand Two Hundred
Eighty -Eight Dollars ($11,288.00).
WHEREAS, the total compensation for these transactions is Eleven Thousand Nine
Hundred Twelve Dollars ($11,912.00), in accordance with city and project needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Acquisition Contract, Deed, and Permanent Easement Agreement with CRV, Inc.
are hereby accepted and approved.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
