RESOLUTION NO. 2025-734 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING AN ACQUISITION CONTRACT AND APPROVING A DEED TO CONVEY REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO FOR A PARTIAL RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION IN THE AMOUNT OF $654.00, AND A TEMPORARY EASEMENT AGREEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $584.00, FOR A TOTAL COMPENSATION AMOUNT OF $1,238.00, WITH THE BOWLERS GROUP II, LLC, FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 650 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA PORTE ROAD PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, continues progress on the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project to improve transportation infrastructure; and WHEREAS, the project requires a partial right-of-way and temporary easement on property located at 650 La Porte Road, owned by The Bowlers Group II, LLC; and WHEREAS, the agreements are outlined as follows: • Acquisition Contract and Deed for partial right-of-way in the amount of Six Hundred Fifty -Four Dollars ($654.00). • Temporary Easement Agreement in the amount of Five Hundred Eighty -Four Dollars ($584.00). WHEREAS, the total compensation is One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty -Eight Dollars ($1,238.00), in accordance with project and municipal requirements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1. The Acquisition Contract, Deed, and Temporary Easement Agreement with The Bowlers Group II, LLC, are hereby accepted and approved. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of December 2025.
