RESOLUTION NO. 2013-274
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO TO HOLD CINCO DE MAYO PARADE AND
FESTIVAL ON MAY 4, 2013.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo has requested that they be
allowed to hold a Cinco de Mayo Parade and Festival on May 4,
2013, together with the approval of the Director of Safety
Services, and
WHEREAS, said parade will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the route
to start at Washington Street and West Park Avenue, east at
Sycamore Street, south at East 4th Street, west at Washington
Street, and end at Washington Street and East Park Avenue, to
include street closures and barricade needs; and from May 3, 2013
at 12:00 noon to May 6, 2013 at 12:00 noon along Jefferson Street
between West Park Avenue and West 3rd Street to include street
closures and barricade needs for the festival.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo to hold
a Cinco de Mayo Parade and Festival on May 4, 2013, with the
parade beginning at 1:00 p.m., starting at Washington Street and
West Park Avenue, east at Sycamore Street, south at East 4th
Street, west at Washington Street, and end at Washington Street
and East Park Avenue, to include street closures and barricade
needs; and from May 3, 2013 at 12:00 noon to May 6, 2013 at 12:00
noon along Jefferson Street between West Park Avenue and West 3rd
Street to include street closures and barricade needs for the
festival, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of April, 2013.
