RESOLUTION NO. 2013-295
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF THE NORTHEAST
IOWA FOOD BANK FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE
NO. 3094, NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank is requesting a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on April 27, 2013, from 8:30 a.m.
to 11:30 a.m., in conjunction with the Kick the Can 5K Run/Walk
event to be held at the River Loop Amphitheatre and Expo Plaza,
including the use of a PA system, with recommendation and
approval of the Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Northeast Iowa Food Bank has made formal
application for a variance effective April 27, 2013, from 8:30
a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Northeast Iowa Food Bank
for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on
April 27, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in conjunction with
the Kick the Can 5K Run/Walk event to be held at the River Loop
Amphitheatre and Expo Plaza, including the use of a PA system, be
and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of April, 2013.
