RESOLUTION NO. 2026-013
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
STRAND ASSOCIATES, INC., OF MADISON, WISCONSIN,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $19,000.00 TO PROVIDE
DESIGN SERVICES, BIDDING -RELATED SERVICES, AND
CONSTRUCTION -RELATED SERVICES FOR THE 2025
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT RAW WASTEWATER
PUMPING BUILDING REHABILITATION PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is dedicated to maintaining and improving its
wastewater infrastructure for the health, safety, and well-being of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the rehabilitation of the Raw Wastewater Pumping Building at the
Wastewater Treatment Plant is essential to ensure continued reliable and efficient operations; and
WHEREAS, Strand Associates, Inc., of Madison, Wisconsin, has the expertise to provide
comprehensive design, bidding -related, and construction -related services for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated an agreement with Strand Associates, Inc., in an
amount not to exceed $19,000.00, to carry out these services effectively and efficiently.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Agreement with Strand Associates, Inc., for professional services related to the
2025 Wastewater Treatment Plant Raw Wastewater Pumping Building Rehabilitation project is
hereby approved.
2. The contractual amount shall not exceed $19,000.00.
3. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
