RESOLUTION NO. 2026-004
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY PETERS CONSTRUCTION OF
WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT OF $73,740.00, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE IDOT CSVI SECURITY DOOR
UPGRADES PROJECT NO. 9I240ALO200, CONTRACT NO.
00005819, AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-YEAR
MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Peters Construction of Waterloo, Iowa, has completed the work required
under Contract No. 00005819, in conjunction with the IDOT CSVI Security Door Upgrades
Project No. 9I240ALO200; and
WHEREAS, the work has been inspected and found to be in compliance with the project
specifications and requirements; and
WHEREAS, the total amount due for the completed work is $73,740.00; and
WHEREAS, a two-year maintenance bond has been provided by Peters Construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council approves the completion of the work performed by Peters
Construction for the IDOT CSVI Security Door Upgrades Project.
2. The work completed under Contract No. 00005819, in the amount of $73,740.00, is
hereby accepted as conforming to the contractual requirements.
3. The City Council receives and files the two-year maintenance bond provided by Peters
Construction to ensure coverage of any defects arising within the maintenance period.
