RESOLUTION NO. 2026-023 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT, ORIGINALLY EXECUTED MAY 20, 2024, WITH IOWA HEARTLAND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, TO EXTEND THE DEADLINE FOR COMPLETION OF 516 PINE STREET TO JANUARY 20, 2028, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, entered into a Development Agreement with Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity on May 20, 2024, for the construction of a project at 516 Pine Street; and WHEREAS, an extension of the completion deadline is necessary to allow for successful project execution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that: 1 . The Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement with ET Enterprises Corporation is hereby approved for the rehabilitation project. 2. The amendment to the Development Agreement with Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity is hereby approved, extending the completion deadline for 516 Pine Street to January 20, 2028. 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of January 2026.
