RESOLUTION NO. 2026-017
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS FEBRUARY 5, 2026, AND DATE
OF PUBLIC HEARING AS FEBRUARY 16, 2026, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH DEMOLITION AND SITE
CLEARANCE SERVICES, CONTRACT NO. D-2026-02-08P,
AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has prepared preliminary plans and
specifications, together with a form of contract for Demolition and Site Clearance Services,
Contract No. D-2026-02-08P; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve said preliminary plans, specifications, and form of
contract and to set dates for associated actions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The preliminary plans, specifications, and form of contract for Demolition and Site
Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2026-02-08P, are hereby approved.
2. The date for the opening of bids for the Demolition and Site Clearance Services,
Contract No. D-2026-02-08P project is set for February 5, 2026, and the public hearing on the
proposed contract and specifications is set for February 16, 2026.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing in accordance
with applicable laws and city policies, ensuring adequate notice to the public.
