RESOLUTION NO. 2026-026
RESOLUTION APPROVING FILLING THE WARD 2
VACANCY BY SPECIAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, a vacancy has arisen in Ward 2 of the City Council of Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has decided that the most appropriate method to fill this
vacancy is through a special election, ensuring fair and democratic representation
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council approves filling the Ward 2 vacancy through a special election.
2. The City Clerk is instructed to work with the appropriate election authorities to
organize and conduct the special election in compliance with relevant laws and procedures.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of January 2026.
