705.2.4 - Door operation. Swinging fire doors shall close from the full -open position and latch
automatically.
Location: Not Provided
Original Comment: fire doors must completely self close and latch. repair latch. If
replaced must match exactly current latch as it is part of a listed fire door. On
4/21/23 all hardware removed and fire rating tags were completely painted over
disqualifying the listing of the assembly. Clean labels, install listed hardware to
meet requirements of the listed fire door and fire wall. Door must completely
self -close and latch. Remove kickstands (hold open devices) or have reviewed by
an architect on requirements of fire wall and submit report to building official for
review. On 8/21/23 panic hardware is installed. Obtain permit and provide
documentation that door hardware meets fire rating of door assembly . Clean
paint from UL fire rating labels.
Additional Comment: 4/11/24 Still no permits for fire doors or documentation
from design engineer to remove.

inspection. Normal operating hours for inspections & re -inspections are Monday -
Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If the automatically generated re -inspection date lands on
a weekend, the re -inspection will typically be performed the following Monday or
Tuesday. If all corrections are made before the 30 days, you can call to set up an earlier
