STATUS CODE DESCRIPTION
FAIL 1010.1 - Doors. Means Doors in the means of egress shall comply with the requirements of
Sections 1010.1.1 through 1010.3.4. Exterior exit doors shall meet also comply
with the requirements of this section. Doors serving a Section 1022.2. Gates in
the means of egress shall comply with the requirements of Sections 1010.4
and 1010.4.1. Turnstiles in the means of egress system shall meet comply with
the requirements of this section and Section 1022.2. Doors Sections 1010.5
through 1010.5.4. Doors, gates and turnstiles provided for egress purposes in
numbers greater than required by this code shall meet comply with the
requirements of this section. Doors in the Means means of egress doors shall be
readily distinguishable from the adjacent construction and finishes such that the
doors are easily recognizable as doors. Mirrors or similar reflecting materials
shall not be used on means of egress doors. Means of egress doors shall not be
concealed by curtains, drapes, decorations or similar materials.

not be provided with a latch or lock other than panic hardware or fire exit
hardware. Exceptions: 1.A main exit of a Group A occupancy shall be permitted to
have locking devices in accordance with Section 1010.2.4, Item 2 3. 2.Doors
provided with panic hardware or fire exit hardware and serving a Group A or E
occupancy shall be permitted to be electrically locked in accordance with Section
1010.2.12 or 1010.2.11. 3. Exit access doors serving occupied exterior areas shall
be permitted to be locked in accordance with Section 1010.2.4, Item 8.
4.Courtrooms shall be permitted to be locked in accordance with Section
1010.2.13, Item 3. Electrical rooms with equipment rated 1,200 amperes or more
and over 6 feet (1829 mm) wide, and that contain overcurrent devices, switching
devices or control devices with exit or exit access doors, shall be equipped with
panic hardware or fire exit hardware. The doors shall swing in the direction of
egress travel.
Location: North Door by stage.
Original Comment: Immediately remove chains and locks from doors. No chains
or locks other than panic hardware allowed at any time. Building was occupied on
2/21 and 2/22 and chains and locks were in place. If found chained again a
citation may be issued.

FAIL 603.6 - Extension cords. Extension cords and flexible cordsshall not be a substitute for permanent wiring
and shall be listed and labeled in accordance with UL 817. Extension cords and
flexible cordsshall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings
or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to
environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only
with portable appliances. Extension cords marked for indoor use shall not be
used outdoors.

Original Comment: remove extension cord. coolers must plug directly into wall
outlet.

inspection, a description of the inspection and when the inspection took place.
Records for cleanings shall state the individual and company performing the
cleaning and when the cleaning took place. Such records shall be completed after
each inspection or cleaning and maintained.

FAIL 807.3 - Acceptance criteria Where required to exhibit improved fire performance, curtains, draperies, fabric
and reports. hangings and other similar combustible decorative materials suspended from
walls or ceilings shall be tested by an approved agency and meet the flame
propagation performance criteria of Test Method 1 or Test Method 2, as
appropriate, of NFPA 701 or exhibit a maximum rate of heat release of 100 kW
when tested in accordance with NFPA 289, using the 20 kW ignition source.
Reports of test results shall be prepared in accordance with the test method
used and furnished to the fire code official upon request.
Location: Stage, and all other curtains in building
Original Comment: provide documentation of material complying with NFPA 701
fire resistance.
FAIL 906.2 - General requirements. Portable fire extinguishers shall be selected, installed and maintained in
accordance with this section and NFPA 10. Exceptions: 1.The distance of travel to
reach an extinguisher shall not apply to the spectator seating portions of Group
A-5 occupancies. 2.Thirty-day inspections shall not be required and maintenance
shall be allowed to be once every 3 years for dry -chemical or halogenated agent
portable fire extinguishers that are supervised by a listed and approved
electronic monitoring device, provided that all of the following conditions are
met: 2.1.Electronic monitoring shall confirm that extinguishers are properly
positioned, properly charged and unobstructed. 2.2.Loss of power or circuit
continuity to the electronic monitoring device shall initiate a trouble signal.
2.3.The extinguishers shall be installed inside of a building or cabinet in a
noncorrosive environment. 2.4.Electronic monitoring devices and supervisory
circuits shall be tested every 3 years when extinguisher maintenance is
performed. 2.5.A written log of required hydrostatic test dates for extinguishers
shall be maintained by the owner to verify that hydrostatic tests are conducted at
the frequency required by NFPA 10. 3.In Group 1-3, portable fire extinguishers
shall be permitted to be located at staff locations.
