1010.1.3 - Door opening
force Forces to unlatch and
open doors.
The force for pushing or pulling open interior swinging egress doors, other than
fire doors, shall not exceed 5 pounds (22 N). These forces do not apply to the
force required to retract latch bolts or disengage other devices that hold the
door in a closed position. For other swinging doors, as well as sliding and folding
doors, the door latch shall release when subjected to a 15-pound (67 N) force.
The door shall be set in motion when subjected to a 30-pound (133 N) force. The
door shall swing to a full -open position when subjected to a 15-pound (67 N)
force. The forces to unlatch doors shall comply with the following: 1.Where door
hardware operates by push or pull, the operational force to unlatch the door
shall not exceed 15 pounds (66.7 N). 2.Where door hardware operates by
rotation, the operational force to unlatch the door shall not exceed 28 inch -
pounds (315 N-cm). The force to open doors shall comply with the following: 1.For
interior swinging egress doors that are manually operated, other than doors
required to be fire rated, the force for pushing or pulling open the door shall not
exceed 5 pounds (22 N). 2.For other swinging doors, sliding doors or folding
doors, and doors required to be fire rated, the door shall require not more than
a 30-pound (133 N) force to be set in motion and shall move to a full -open
position when subjected to not more than a 15-pound (67 N) force.

Original Comment: Repair exit door. Exit door will not open at this time. Door
must unlatch and swing to full open with less than 15# force.

(1981 mm) in height shall be providedin front of electrical service equipment.
Where the electrical service equipment is wider than 30 inches (762 mm), the
minimum working space shall be not less than the width of the equipment.
Storage of materials shall not be located within the designated working space.
Exceptions: 1. Where other dimensions are required or allowed by NFPA 70. 2.
Access openings into attics or under -floor areas that provide a minimum clear
opening of 22 inches (559 mm) by 30 inches (762 mm).

603.6 - Extension cords.
Location: Fire Sprinkler Room
Original Comment: remove obstructions to electrical panel. Maintain a minimum
of 36" clearance at all times to electrical panel and fire sprinkler riser.
Extension cords and flexible cordsshall not be a substitute for permanent wiring
and shall be listed and labeled in accordance with UL 817. Extension cords and
flexible cordsshall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings
or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to
environmental damage or physical impact. Extension cords shall be used only
with portable appliances. Extension cords marked for indoor use shall not be
used outdoors.

Original Comment: Remove extension cord from Christmas lights. May use a
power tap with a manual reset for light duty use (tv's compurters, Christmas
lights). Christmas lights (temporary lights) must be removed after 90 days.

603.8 - Temporary wiring.
DESCRIPTION
Temporary The use of temporary wiring for electrical power and lighting
installations shall not exceed is allowed for a period not to exceed of 90 days.
Temporary wiring methods shall meet the applicable provisions of NFPA 70.
Exception: Temporary wiring for electrical power and lighting installations is
allowed complying with the applicable provisions of NFPA 70 is permitted during
periods of construction, remodeling, repair or demolition of buildings,
structures, equipment or similar activities.

Original Comment: Temporary lights may be displayed for a period of 90 days.
FAIL 606.3.3.2 - Grease If during the inspection it is found that hoods, grease -removal devices, fans,
accumulation. ducts or other appurtenances have an accumulation of grease, such
components shall be cleaned in accordance with ANSI/IKECA C10.
Location: Under and behind kitchen appliances
Original Comment: Clean excessive grease from floor,walls,pipes and electrical.
Kitchen hood fire suppression would not contain fire because not designed to
last more than few seconds and grease on floor etc would keep burning

inspection, a description of the inspection and when the inspection took place.
Records for cleanings shall state the individual and company performing the
cleaning and when the cleaning took place. Such records shall be completed after
each inspection or cleaning and maintained.

Original Comment: Provide current annual kitchen hood exhaust cleaning
inspection report with all discrepancies corrected. Currently 6 days past due.
Contractor must upload online to the compliance engine.
FAIL 903.3.3 - Obstructed Automatic sprinklers shall be installed with regard to obstructions that will delay
locations. activation or obstruct the water distribution pattern and shall be in accordance
with the applicable automatic sprinkler system standard that is being used.
Automatic sprinklers shall be installed in or under covered kiosks, displays,
booths, concession stands or equipment that exceeds 4 feet (1219 mm) in width.
Not less than a 3-foot (914 mm) clearance shall be maintained between
automatic sprinklers and the top of piles of combustible fibers. Exception:
Kitchen equipment under exhaust hoods protected with a fire -extinguishing
system in accordance with Section 904.
Location: Upstairs closet
Original Comment: remove obstructions to fire sprinkler head. (close to being
knocked off today) Maintain clearances.
