RESOLUTION NO. 2026-038
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE IOWA CERTIFIED LOCAL
GOVERNMENT 2025 ANNUAL REPORT AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND COMMUNITY
PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo participates in the Certified Local Government
program, CLG; and
WHEREAS, as part of the City's participation in the CLG program, the City prepares and
submits an annual report summarizing historic preservation activities for the applicable reporting
year; and
WHEREAS, the City has prepared the Iowa Certified Local Government 2025 Annual
Report; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the best interest of the City to approve the
Annual Report and authorize execution for submission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves termination of the Development Agreement with J
& R Real Estate Holding, LLC.
2. The Mayor and Community Planning and Development Director are authorized and
directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
