RESOLUTION NO. 2026-034
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY CAHOY PUMP SERVICE,
INC., OF SUMNER, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $367,493.00
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY2024 HAWTHORNE
AVENUE STORM EWER LIFT STATION RELIEF WELL,
CONTRACT NO. 1066, AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-
YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, entered into a contract for the FY 2024
Hawthorne Avenue Storm Sewer Lift Station Relief Well Project, Contract No. 1066; and
WHEREAS, Cahoy Pump Service, Inc., Sumner, Iowa has performed the work required
under the Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has submitted a report indicating the Project has been
completed in accordance with the contract documents, and has recommended acceptance of the
work; and
WHEREAS, the total contract amount for the work performed is $367,493.00; and
WHEREAS, a two-year maintenance bond has been submitted as required by the contract
documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as
follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves completion of the Project and accepts the work
performed by Cahoy Pump Service, Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2024 Hawthorne Avenue
Storm Sewer Lift Station Relief Well Project, Contract No. 1066, in the amount of $367,493.00.
2. The two-year maintenance bond submitted for the Project is hereby received and filed
with the City Clerk.
