RESOLUTION NO. 2026-059
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN CONNECTED BUILDING
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TRANE TECHNOLOGIES, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $12,640.00, FOR A ONE-YEAR ONSITE
INSPECTION AND CALIBRATION OF CO/NO2 SENSORS
FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa operates the Public Works Facility and utilizes
carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) sensors as part of the facility's building
systems and safety monitoring; and
WHEREAS, periodic inspection and calibration of such sensors is necessary to help
ensure proper operation and reliable readings; and
WHEREAS, Trane Technologies has submitted a proposed Connected Building Services
Agreement, in the amount of $12,640.00, to provide a one-year onsite inspection and calibration
of CO/NO2 sensors for the City's Public Works Facility; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommend approval of the Connected Building Services
Agreement and authorization for execution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Connected Building Services Agreement between the City of Waterloo and Trane
Technologies, in the amount of $12,640.00, for a one-year onsite inspection and calibration of
CO/NO2 sensors for the Public Works Facility, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
