RESOLUTION NO. 2026-060
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH STRAND
ASSOCIATES OF MADISON, WISCONSIN, ORIGINALLY
EXECUTED ON JANUARY 5, 2026, TO REPLACE ITEM NO.
1 IN ITS ENTIRETY AND CHANGE ITEM NO. 2, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE DESIGN, BIDDING, AND
CONSTRUCTION RELATED SERVICES FOR THE 2025
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT RAW WASTEWATER
PUMPING BUILDING REHABILITATION PROJECT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa previously entered into a Professional Services
Agreement with Strand Associates, Inc., of Madison, Wisconsin, originally executed on January
5, 2026, pertaining to the 2025 Wastewater Treatment Plant Raw Wastewater Pumping Building
Rehabilitation Project; and
WHEREAS, the City and Strand Associates, Inc., propose amendment No. 1 by replacing
Item No. 1 in its entirety and changing Item No. 2, as more specifically set forth in Amendment
No. 1; and
WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed Amendment No. 1 and recommend its approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement between the City of
Waterloo, Iowa and Strand Associates, Inc., originally executed on January 5, 2026, which
Amendment replaces Item No. 1 in its entirety and changes Item No. 2, in conjunction with
design, bidding, and construction -related services for the 2025 Wastewater Treatment Plant Raw
Wastewater Pumping Building Rehabilitation Project, is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
