RESOLUTION NO. 2026-048 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING DATE OF BID OPENING AS MARCH 12, 2026, AND DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS MARCH 16, 2026, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE AIRFIELD LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADE/REPLACEMENT, FAA AIP PROJECT NO. 3-19-0094-061, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE. WHEREAS, preliminary plans, specifications, bidding documents, form of contract, and an estimate of cost for the Airfield Lighting Control System Upgrade/Replacement, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-061, have been prepared; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it appropriate to approve the preliminary plans, specifications, bidding documents, form of contract, and estimate of cost; to set the date, time, and place for receipt and opening of bids; to set the date, time, and place for a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost; and to direct publication of notice consistent with applicable Iowa law; and WHEREAS, it is in the interest of public welfare to conduct a public hearing to consider the request and allow for public comment and discussion. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo as follows: 1. The preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, bidding documents, and estimate of cost for the Airfield Lighting Control System Upgrade/Replacement, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-061, are hereby approved. 2. The bid opening is set for March 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the City Council chambers. 3. The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of March 2026, in conjunction with proposed plans for the Airfield Lighting Control System Upgrade/Replacement, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-061. by law.
