RESOLUTION NO. 2026-053
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., AND
AUTHORIZING TO PROCEED, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES,
CONTRACT NO. D-2026-02-08P.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo has developed and finalized the plans, specifications,
and form of contract for the Demolition and Site Clearance Services under Contract No. D-2026-
02-08P; and
WHEREAS, these plans and specifications have been prepared to outline the necessary
steps for safely and efficiently executing the demolition and clearance of designated sites,
ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council previously reviewed and approved these documents,
establishing the framework for engaging contractors and managing the project's implementation;
and
WHEREAS, the authorization to proceed is now required to enable the commencement
of the work in accordance with the adopted plans and project timeline.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The plans, specifications, form of contract, and associated documents for Contract No.
D-2026-02-08P are hereby confirmed as approved.
2. The City is authorized to proceed with the Demolition and Site Clearance Services as
outlined, facilitating the orderly execution of the project and adherence to all specified
requirements.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
