RESOLUTION NO. 2026-054
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF BID TO
LEHMAN TRUCKING & EXCAVATING INC., OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $93,069.00,
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH DEMOLITION
AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES, CONTRACT NO. D-
2026-02-08P, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo has solicited bids for the Demolition and Site
Clearance Services, Contract No. 2026-02-08P, aiming to ensure efficient and compliant removal
and clearance of designated demolition sites; and
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking & Excavating Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted the
lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $93,069.00, providing all necessary
assurances of capability to perform the work to the standards required by the City; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve the accompanying contract, bond, and certificate
of insurance to formalize the obligations of Lehman Trucking & Excavating Inc., and ensure the
City is duly protected against any liabilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The bid from Lehman Trucking & Excavating Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount
of $93,069.00, is hereby approved.
2. The contract, bond, and certificate of insurance associated with Demolition and Site
Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2026-02-08P, are approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
