The organization and execution of the annual Waterloo Memorial Day Parade will be managed by the Operations Committee of the Commission of the Waterloo Veterans Memorial Hall. 2. All Individuals, groups and organizations are encouraged to participate. 3. The parade will start at approximately 10:00 AM from the intersection of West 6th and Commercial Streets, continuing to Park Avenue and Commercial Street,then to Park Avenue and Lafayette Street,then to Lafyette and East 5th Streets and ending at West 5th and Commercial Streets. 4. The traditional Memorial Day Program will commence at approximately 11:00 AM at Waterloo Veterans Memorial Hall. The program will include a featured speaker music, prayer and appropriate military honors. 5. Operational support for the parade will include the Waterloo Police Department personnel, barricades at the intersections along the parade route, and closure of the various Streets as required; most notably the area of West 5th and Commercial Streets where the parade will begin forming at least one hour prior to the 10:00 AM parade start time. 6. Any and all city, county and state departments, as well as officials, are encouraged to participate. 7. Manager for the Waterloo Memorial Day Parade is Dave Grimm,Chairman of the Waterloo Veterans Memorial Hall Operations Committee. 8. We are looking forward to working with the City of Waterloo to honor our military veterans, both living and deceased.
