RECEIVING OF SIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the City Clerk of the City o1 Waterloo.
Iowa, at her office In the City Hall of
the said City on the 5th day o1 March,
2026 until 1:00 p.m. for the construc-
tion o1 the F.Y. 2026 Broadway Street
Reconstruction Project, Contract No,
1144, as described In detail In the
plans and specifications now on tile In
the Office ofthe City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
In the Harold E. Getty Council Cham-
bers In City Hall, In the City of Water-
loo, toms, on the 5 th day of Mach
2026 at 1:00 p.m., and the proposals
will be acted upon at such later time
and place as may then be fixed bythe
City Council. The bld opening w111 be
Iivestreamed on YouTube and made
available on the city webslte.
PUBLIC-HEARIN
Notice is hereby given that the Coun-
cil of said City w111 conduct a pub-
lic hearing on the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, and
estimate of cost for the construction
of the above -described improvement
project at 5:30 p.m. on the 16 1h day
of March. 2026, said hearing to be
held In the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers In City Hall In said City
The proposed plans, specification,
form of contract, and estimate o1 cost
for said Improvements heretofore pre-
pared by the City of Waterloo are now
on file to the office of the City Clerk
for public examination, and any per-
son interested therein may tile written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing,
or appear and make objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set
far said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto at the meeting above
set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work Involved Is the
construction of street improvements
In, along and upon portions a1 certain
streets, avenues, roads, and allays,
and such other work as may be In-
cidental thereto along and upon the
following streets, avenues, roads and
alleys.
Street Improvements consisting of:
Broadway Street Reconstruction
9" BC.C. pavement section with 10'
subbase material
Subgrade drain tile, granular subbase,
new storm sewer and other such work
as may be incidental thereto.
All street Improvements consist of the
reconstruction of an existing paved
street, which is to be replaced with a
proposed street.
The street, which Is proposed for im-
provements, Is as follows:
