RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo
Iowa, at her office In the City Hall of
the said City on the 5th day of March,
2026 until 1:00 p.m. for the construc-
tion of the Huntington Rd. and Katoski
Or. Reconstruction Project, Contract
13o, 1123, as described in detail In the
plans and speclficatlons now on file In
the Office of the CIEy Clerk,
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
In the Harold E. Getty Council Cham-
bers at City Hall. In the City of Water-
loo, [owe, on the 5 th day of March
2026 at 1100 p.m., and the proposals
will be acted upon at such later time
and place as may then be fixed by the
City Council, The bid opening will be
Iivestreamed on You0ube and made
available on the oily webslte,
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Coun-
cil of said City will conduct a pub-
lic hearing on the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, and
estimate of cost for the construction
of the above -described improvement
project at 5:30 pm. on the 16 th day
of March 2026. said hearing to be
held In the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers In City Hall In said City.
The proposed plans, specifications,
farm o1 contract, and estimate o1 cost
for said improvements heretofore pre-
pared by the City of Waterloo are now
on 11Ie in the office o1 the City Clerk
for public mammalian. and any per-
son interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing,
or appear and make objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set
far said hearing. or appear and make
objection thereto at the meeting above
set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The work includes reconstruction of
Huntington Road from the Waterloo
City Limits to Katoski Drive as well as
reconstruction of Katoski Drive from
Huntington Road to Greenhill Road.
The project includes:
•B" P.C. concrete pavement with 6"
modified subbase
Four (4) roundabouts — Huntington
Rd & Katoski Dr. Katoski Dr at future
school entrance, Katoski Dr & Down-
ing Ave. and Katoski Dr & Greenhill
Rd — including Ian d soap Ing, Ii m estone
blocks, signage, and lighting
New storm sewer, Including pipe,
manholes, intakes, subdraln. a new
box culvert and a box culvert exten-
sion
10'shared use path on the north side
of Huntingon Rd, the east side o1 Ka-
toski Dr from Huntington Rd to the
school entrance. and the west side o1
Katoski Dr from the school entrance to
Greenhill Rd

signs and pavement markings
• Landscaping including seeding, sac
