RESOLUTION NO. 2026-100
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ACQUISITION CONTRACT AND
ACCEPTING A DEED TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, WITH TIM DURHAM, REGINALD JONES, AND
HENRY JONES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $213,760.00, FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 751 GLENWOOD STREET, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa has determined that it is in the public interest to
acquire certain real property located at 751 Glenwood Street, Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Tim Durham, Reginald Jones, and Henry Jones are willing to sell the
Property, in the amount of $213,760.00, to the City pursuant to an Acquisition Contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that approving the Acquisition Contract and
accepting a Deed for the Property is in the best interests of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Acquisition Contract for the purchase of real property located at 751 Glenwood
Street, Waterloo, Iowa, from Tim Durham, Reginald Jones, and Henry Jones, for a total purchase
price of $213,760.00, is hereby approved.
2. The City Council hereby accepts the Deed conveying the Property to the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, from Tim Durham, Reginald Jones, and Henry Jones.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
