RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
MARCH 16, 2026, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY C&S
PROPERTIES TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY 0.49 ACRES
FROM "R-4" MULTIPLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO "C-2"
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT LOCATED AT 911 SOUTH
STREET AND 519 W. 7TH STREET AND INSTRUCT THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, 205 E. 4th, LLC has submitted a request to designate the property
commonly known as 501 Sycamore Street, as a locally designated historic landmark; and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo City Council finds it appropriate to set a public hearing to
receive public comment on the proposed local historic landmark designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. A public hearing be set for March 16, 2026, to receive public comment on a proposal
to approve a request by 205 E. 4th, LLC, to designate 501 Sycamore Street as a locally
designated historic landmark.

2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
