RESOLUTION NO. 2026-088
RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH WHA, INC., OF CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,902.80, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE BROADWAY STREET CMAQ TRAFFIC SIGNALS,
FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION, BROADWAY STREET, US 63
NORTH 4.2 MILES TO US HIGHWAY 218, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo, Iowa is undertaking the Broadway Street CMAQ
Traffic Signals, Fiber Optic Installation project on Broadway Street from US 63 north
approximately 4.2 miles to US Highway 218; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain professional engineering and related services for
the Project; and
WHEREAS, WHA, Inc., of Cedar Rapids, Iowa has submitted a proposal to provide
professional services for the Project in an amount not to exceed $44,902.80; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the proposal to be in the best interest of the City and
recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The Professional Services Agreement between the City of Waterloo, Iowa and WHA,
Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in conjunction with the Broadway Street CMAQ Traffic Signals, Fiber
Optic Installation project (Broadway Street, US 63 north 4.2 miles to US Highway 218), is
hereby approved in an amount not to exceed $44,902.80.
2. The Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
