RESOLUTION NO. 2013-111
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF MIKE ROBINSON
OF FRIENDS OF HEAL THE FAMILY INC. FOR A
VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Mike Robinson of Friends of Heal the Family Inc. is
requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 24, 2013,
from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in conjunction with the 5th Annual
Take Back Our Community event to be held at Sullivan Park,
including a band/DJ and the use of a PA system, with
recommendation and approval of Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Mike Robinson of Friends of Heal the Family
Inc. has made formal application for a variance effective
August 24, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Mike Robinson of Friends of
Heal the Family Inc. for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance, on August 24, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in
conjunction with the 5th Annual Take Back Our Community event to
be held at Sullivan Park, including a band/DJ and the use of a PA
system, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of February, 2013.
