(ATS), 501 Sycamore Street, Suite 222, Waterloo, Iowa, dated January 21, 2025, for 5t'' Street and Commercial Street Parking Ramp Repairs; and WHEREAS, the Client and ATS now desire to enter into Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for 5th Street Parking Ramp Architectural Services, NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed to amend the original Professional Service Agreement as follows: 1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AECOM is proposing the following architectural services for the redesign and recladding of the West 5th Parking Ramp Entrance. Facade renovations to the existing parking garage located at West 5th and Park Avenue. The scope area will be limited to the following: • Surveying of the facade o Size of panels and width of opening • Demolition of the following: o Concrete Block Wall o Entry Tubes (Assumption is that these are not structural.) o Metal Panels • Repairs of the following: o Existing Clock • Design of the following: o Facade Recladding (Metal Panel) o Backlit Parking Sign o Sandblasting / Cleaning the Concrete Wall Below the Old Panels and Applying Stain Docusign Envelope ID: 45707B4B-42D4-4EEC-B3A6-246A0F471B9D AECOM II. SCOPE OF SERVICES Page 2 The Scope of Services outlined below includes the expected deliverables, meetings, and scope per task. Task 1 — Existing Conditions Verification and Modeling. Modeling of existing conditions. Assuming drawings of the existing structure will be provided. • Existing Conditions Deliverables: o Existing Drawings of the Scope Area (Plan, Elevations, and Sections). These drawings will reflect the visual conditions captured by the point cloud scan. These drawings will serve as the basis for all subsequent deliverables. Task 2 — Schematic Design. The scope of this task includes the development of a Schematic Design package for the facade improvements. A Schematic Design package will be created that follows the standards established by AIA. The team will develop three facade options for review. • Meetings: o (1) Virtual Schematic Design Presentation — 1 hr. • Schematic Design Deliverables: o One (1) Design package — including precedent images, context study, preliminary plans, two (2) conceptual level renderings for each of the three option, preliminary elevation, preliminary specifications for backlit signage, and preliminary material selections. Task 3 — Design Development. The Design Development (DD) task is the second major stage in the architectural design process, following the schematic design (SD) phase. During this phase, the initial concepts and ideas from the schematic design are refined into more detailed and technically accurate plans. • Meetings: o (1) Virtual Design Development Presentation— 1 hr. • Design Development Deliverables: o Updated renderings, plans, and elevation drawings of selected design option. Task 4 — Construction Documentation. The scope of this phase includes the development of Construction Documents for the facade improvements. • Meetings: o (1) Virtual Review Session — 75% page turn of in -progress drawings —1 hr. • Construction Documentation Deliverables: o Construction set (to be used for permitting) • Demolition Plans = Floor Plan • Building Elevations • Building Section • Wall Sections • Exterior Details • Lighting Details for Backlit Parking Sign o Technical Specifications Docusign Envelope ID: 45707B4B-42D4-4EEC-B3A6-246A0F471B9D AECOM Page 3 Task 5 — Permitting. The scope of this phase includes submitting permitting drawings to the City of Waterloo. The drawings will be provided to a General Contractor or Expeditor. AECOM to respond to one round of building department comments and update the drawings as required. • Meetings: o Up to (2) Virtual Meetings with the City of Waterloo as needed. Task 6 — Survey. The scope of this phase includes setting control points and measuring the extent of the metal facade. Task 7 — Clock Restoration. The scope of this phase includes creating specifications for the tower clock parts typically required for upgrades include the clock movement (the motor mechanism that drives the hands), a modern clock controller (can be fully automatic clock controller with a GPS antenna for time synchronization), and updating the hands to fit the upgraded shafts. The electrical circuitry will be replaced from the circuit breaker, through the controller, and terminating into the motor controller. We propose removing and refinishing/restoring the existing clock face hands and dial markers on the exterior of the building. • Meetings: o Up to (1) Virtual Meetings with the City of Waterloo as needed. Task 8 — Structural Repairs. The scope of this phase includes developing preliminary and final plans and specifications identified in the field review. These tasks will include work necessary to complete the plans and specifications for the identified repairs. included in these tasks will be the typical cross -sections, tabulations and quantities, final plan view sheets, structural details, layout sheets, traffic sheets, traffic control sheets, construction cost estimate and technical specifications. These tasks will include work necessary to complete the final design, project plans and specifications, and the printing of the documents for a City of Waterloo letting. • Title and Legend Sheets (A -Sheets) • Typical Sections and Details (B-Sheets) • Bid Items and General Notes (C-Sheets) O Bid Item and Quantity Listing o Estimate Reference information o General Notes • Tabulations and Quantities (C-Sheets) • Plans Sheets (D-Sheets) • Traffic Control Sheets 0-Sheets) • Layout Sheets (U-Sheets) • Structural Details (V-Sheets) • Quality Control Review • Construction Cost Estimate • Specifications • Printing and Submittals Docusign Envelope ID: 45707B4B-42D4-4EEC-B3A6-246A0F471B9D ,4ECOM Exclusions The following items are not included but may be added by supplemental agreement: Page 4 • Construction -related Services • 3D renderings are to be of artistic quality. Photorealistic renderings can be provided as an additional service. Assumptions • Applicable code - 2021 International Building Code (With Waterloo Amendments) • Survey to be provided in AutoCAD file • Current estimate does not include site visits or in -person meetings for the AECOM Chicago staff. • Structural assumes bracing system at garage as existing wing wall is self-supporting. If existing conditions differ an additional service may be requested. • The permit expeditor or general contractor will submit documents for permit and pay applicable fees. III. COMPENSATION Compensation for the above services will be on an hourly basis in accordance with Part VI of the original agreement and shall be integrated with the fees in the original agreement. The total compensation for these services is a not -to -exceed fee of One Hundred Thirty -Seven Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($137,300.00) and will not be exceeded without authorization from the Client. IV. In all other respects, the obligations of the Client and the Consultant shall remain as specified in the Professional Services Agreement dated January 21, 2025.
