RESOLUTION NO. 2013-124
RESOLUTION APPROVING REAL ESTATE PURCHASE
AGREEMENT WITH JAMES C. TURNER AND SHERYL A.
TURNER OF WATERLOO, IOWA AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT BY MAYOR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Real Estate Purchase Agreement dated February 18, 2013,
for the acquisition of 3137 Independence Avenue in the amount of
$220,000.00, with up to $10,000.00 in city environmental and
closing costs, and legally described as follows:
Parcel "A" of Plat of Survey 335 Misc 449, being that
part of the Southwest Quarter of Section No. 21,
Township No. 89 North, Range No. 12 West of the Fifth
Principal Meridian, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described
as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Southwest
Quarter;
Thence due East along the South line of said Southwest
Quarter a distance of 325.01 feet to the point of
beginning;
Thence due North a distance of 345.60 feet;
Thence due East a distance of 418.04 feet;
Thence due South a distance of 345.60 feet to the South
line of said Southwest Quarter;
Thence due West along said South line a distance of
418.04 feet to the point of beginning.
Note: The South line of said Southwest Quarter is
assumed to bear due West for this description.
Subject to easements, restrictions, covenants,
ordinances, and limited access provisions of record;
by and between James C. Turner and Sheryl A. Turner of Waterloo,
Iowa and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is hereby
approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute the
same in behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of February, 2013.
