RESOLUTION NO. 2026-145
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED
AND DONATION OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF
WATERLOO FROM FSPI LTD, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED
ALONG FRANKLIN STREET AND PROPERTY LOCATED
NEAR CEDAR TERRACE DRIVE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, FSPI LTD has offered to donate and convey to the City of Waterloo certain
real property interests, including property located along Franklin Street and property located near
Cedar Terrace Drive; and
WHEREAS, FSPI LTD will present Deed document(s) conveying the Property to the
City; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of the donation will allow the City to hold the Property for
public purposes, subject to any terms contained in the deed(s); and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends acceptance of the donation and approval of the
deed(s), subject to review and approval by the City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1 . The City Council hereby accepts the donation of real property from FSPI LTD, which
consists of property located along Franklin Street and property located near Cedar Terrace Drive.
2. The City Council hereby approves the Deed(s) and related conveyance documents
transferring the Property to the City, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City
Attorney.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1.6th day of March 2026.
