RESOLUTION NO. 2026-148
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPENSATION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $6,690.00 TO STEELSMITH PROPERTIES, LLC
FOR THE REMOVAL OF 53.1 SQUARE -YARDS OF
CONCRETE PAVING FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1607-
1621 LA PORTE ROAD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE LA
PORTE ROAD PHASE II RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is undertaking the La Porte Road Phase II
Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the Project, it is necessary to remove certain existing
paving improvements located on private property at 1607-1621 La Porte Road; and
and
WHEREAS, Steelsmith Properties, LLC is the owner of the Property; and
WHEREAS, the removal includes approximately 53.1 square yards of concrete paving;
WHEREAS, City staff has determined that it is appropriate to compensate Steelsmith
Properties, LLC for such removal in the amount of $6,690.00, in connection with the
Project; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the city to approve said compensation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The City Council hereby approves compensation to Steelsmith Properties, LLC, in the
amount of $6,690.00, for the removal of 53.1 square yards of concrete paving at 1607-1621 La
Porte Road, in conjunction with the La Porte Road Phase II Reconstruction Project.
