RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
APRIL 6, 2026, TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY ADVANCED
HEAT TREAT TO VACATE APPROXIMATELY 650 SQUARE
FEET OF SEWER AND UTILITY EASEMENT IN THE "M-1"
LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT LOCATED AT 2839
BURTON AVENUE AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, Advanced Heat Treat has submitted a request to the City of Waterloo to
vacate approximately 650 square feet of a Sewer and Utility Easement associated with property
located at 2839 Burton Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa, which property is located in the "M-1" Light
Industrial District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is required to hold a public hearing and publish notice of
the proposed easement vacation in the manner and within the time required by Iowa law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. A public hearing be set for April 6, 2026, to receive public comment on a proposal to
consider the request by Advanced Heat Treat to vacate approximately 650 square feet of Sewer
and Utility Easement at 2839 Burton Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa, in the "M-1" Light Industrial
District.

2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said public hearing as required
