RESOLUTION NO. 2026-119
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK,
AND RELEASE OF RETAINAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF
$65,313.25 FOR WORK PERFORMED BY MUNICIPAL PIPE
TOOL CO., OF HUDSON, IOWA, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2025 CIP PIPELINING PHASE V PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1118, AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-
YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS the City of Waterloo entered into a contract for the FY 2025 CIP Pipelining
Phase V Project, Contract No. 1118; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., of Hudson, Iowa has performed the work required
under the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Division Manager has submitted a report indicating the
Project has been completed in accordance with the contract documents, and has recommended
acceptance of the work; and
WHEREAS, the total contract amount for the work performed is $65,313.25.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. The City Council hereby approves completion of the Project and accepts the work
performed by Municipal Pipe Tool Co., of Hudson, Iowa, in conjunction with the FY 2025 CIP
Pipelining Phase V Project, Contract No. 1118, in the amount of $65,313.25.
2. The two-year maintenance bond submitted for the Project is hereby received and filed
with the City Clerk.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March 2026.
