RESOLUTION NO. 2026-121
RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING
OF THE PROPOSED TAX LEVY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027 ON
MARCH 30, 2026, AT 5:30 PM, AS REQUIRED BY THE
STATE, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE.
WHEREAS Iowa law requires the City to hold a public hearing on the proposed property
tax levy for Fiscal Year 2027 and to publish notice of the hearing in the manner and within the
time required by state law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to set the date, time, and place for the required
public hearing and to direct the City Clerk to publish the notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, that:
1. A public hearing on the proposed tax levy for Fiscal Year 2027 is hereby set for
Monday, March 30, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., at the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, 715 Mulberry
Street, Waterloo, Iowa.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish the notice of said public hearing in
accordance with state law and city public notice policies, ensuring that residents are adequately
informed of the opportunity to participate.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March 2026.
