RESOLUTION NO. 2026-130
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ASPRO,
INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE AMOUNT OF
$2,147,750.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE RUNWAY 18/36 REHABILITATION WITHIN THE
RUNWAY 12/30 SAFETY AREA, FAA AIP PROJECT NO. 3-
19-0094-059, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has duly advertised and solicited bids for the
Runway 18/36 rehabilitation within the Runway 12/30 safety area, FAA AIP Project No. 3-19-
0094-059; and
WHEREAS, ASPRO, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, has submitted the lowest responsible bid
in the amount of $2,147,750.00, meeting all required specifications for the project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the city to
accept the bid from ASPRO, Inc., and proceed with the project to complete the Runway 18/36
rehabilitation within the Runway 12/30 safety area; and
WHEREAS, the contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance have been reviewed and are
in compliance with the city's requirements and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. The bid submitted by ASPRO, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of
$2,147,750.00 for the Runway 18/36 rehabilitation within the Runway 12/30 safety area, FAA
AIP Project No. 3-19-0094-059, is hereby approved.
2. The contract, bonds, and certificate of insurance in connection with the project are
hereby approved.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
